Ethics, integrity and best practices

Standards

RESED adheres to the principles of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) and to the recommendations of the ICMJE.

Scientific integrity

RESED may use similarity detection tools. Cases of plagiarism, duplication, data fabrication/falsification or image manipulation will be managed according to COPE guidelines (including rejection, institutional communication and post-publication measures where appropriate).

Images must not be manipulated in a misleading manner. Global adjustments must be applied to the entire image and described when relevant.

Corrections, retractions and expressions of concern

RESED will publish, when necessary: corrections (errata), retractions and expressions of concern, in a transparent and traceable manner in accordance with COPE.

Complaints and appeals

RESED has a procedure for appeals against editorial decisions, complaints about the review process and reports of misconduct.
