Abstract
Currently, pain is an experienced disorder by the majority of the population, so it is a health problem which requires a great economic cost. Different studies have shown that pain should be viewed from a biopsychosocial approach to understand its complexity. In the experience of pain, we would find different variables which would relate to each other to exacerbate, maintain or reduce this experience. These variables would be cognitive, social, affective-motivational, behavioral, sensory and biological. As a result, it is necessary a pain treatment which influences in each of these variables in order to achieve a reduction or elimination of pain and a better quality of life for the patient.Downloads
