Resumen

La anestesia locorregional ha sido descrita y utilizada en los procedimientos de intervenciones torácicas y cardiacas de manera reciente, haciendo referencia a un mejor control del dolor perioperatorio, menores tiempos de extubación y menor tiempo en Unidad de Cuidado Intensivo (UCI), esto basado en los programas de recuperación avanzada del paciente (ERAS). En el presente escrito de revisión narrativa, se realizó una búsqueda en diferentes bases de datos, entre las más destacadas están PubMed y Google Académico, en las cuales se indago sobre las técnicas más usadas de analgesia locorregional en cirugía cardiovascular, la descripción del procedimiento, eficacia como también ventajas y desventajas de cada una. De lo anterior se destaca la punción guiada por ecografía para minimizar los errores y la utilidad de este para lograr realizar la técnica de manera adecuada. Sin embargo, se destaca que a pesar de ser los bloqueos miofasciales unas buenas técnicas de analgesia no han demostrado una mayor eficiencia sobre la analgesia epidural torácica alta.
